Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 4, 2026

Template document provided for guidance only. Complete the bracketed items (legal entity, state, address) and have it reviewed by a lawyer before final publication.

This Privacy Policy explains how [Limeez, Inc.] (“Limeez”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our website and Service. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your information responsibly.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide: account and billing details (name, business name, email, phone, payment information), the content you enter, and the messages you send us. Information collected automatically: device and usage data, IP address, browser type, and cookies (see our Cookie Policy). Information from third parties: payment processors and integration partners.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to provide, maintain, and improve the Service; process payments; communicate with you about your account and updates; provide support; ensure security and prevent fraud; and comply with our legal obligations.

3. Legal bases

Where applicable law requires it (for example the EU / UK GDPR), we process personal information based on contract performance, our legitimate interests, your consent, and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Fraud prevention at sign-up

When you create an account, and only then, we collect three additional items to prevent serial account creation and the fraudulent claiming of a reduced price.

Your IP address is sent to a geolocation provider (ipwho.is) to determine your country, which determines the pricing that applies to you. The result is kept for thirty days and then deleted.

A technical fingerprint of your device is computed in your browser — no data leaves your machine for this calculation — to detect multiple free accounts opened from the same hardware. This can be switched off: contact us and we will disable it for your account.

Your business registration number is checked against official public registers where one exists for your country: recherche-entreprises.api.gouv.fr in France, and the European Commission's VIES service in the EU. Elsewhere it is recorded without verification.

These operations rely on our legitimate interest in preventing fraud. None of them leads to an automatic refusal, except for temporary email addresses, which we do not accept. Any discrepancy between the information gathered is reviewed by a person, never by a machine alone.

5. How we share information

We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf (hosting, payment, analytics) under appropriate confidentiality obligations; when required by law or to protect rights and safety; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, and analyze usage. See our Cookie Policy for details and your choices.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

8. Data security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have rights under the CCPA / CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell personal information). To exercise your rights, email support@limeez.app.

10. International transfers

We are based in the United States; your information may be processed there and in other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

11. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
